Protect Against Stored Memories

Studies show that raging teenage hormones are stored in our brains as sensory and emotional memories. The high of young love may be imprinted on the brain with the same power as an addictive drug. Therefore, when you re-encounter that same person again, regardless if you are now 5 or 25 years down the road, the visceral feelings of being ‘young and in love’ come roaring back to us.

This is why it is so dangerous. It is as much about “morals” as it is about “chemicals.” Good people have affairs. Yet very few of these “good people” ever set out to have an affair. The majority simply wanted to cure their curiosity. Just remember, “Curiosity killed the cat!” It can also kill a marriage.
